Nero is amazing.

Another great use of highly processed female vocals with dubstep beats.

Don’t worry. The townsfolk start to loosen up after this random hot couple makeout in the middle of their village.

Blur: Fool's Day

Blur

I remember listening to Blur growing up. Some good ol’ britpop.

airportdj:

Fool’s Day - Blur

The original brit-pop band, Blur, just recently released their first new material in more than six years, and don’t worry, it’s still sounding awesome. You’d think after all the drugs, alcohol and punch-ups, Blur would hardly function together at all. But this new single, Fool’s Day, is as good as any of their best tracks. Vaguely reminiscent of a more downbeat Coffee & TV, it’s a dreamy, wistful track that manages to incorporate features from all their previous incarnations, and yet still sound fresh.

Even if just in the mood of the track, to me it sounds kind of autobiographical. A reminiscence of a time that seemed pretty crap when it was happening, but in retrospect you realise you actually quite miss. I wouldn’t be too surprised if this is one of the last tracks they release (but don’t hold me to that).

The band have released the single as a free download on their website ”To avoid fans having to illegally obtain an inferior copy of this track from pirate sites”, so head on over and pick it up.
